OVERVIEW OF
Our Institution and Its Impact
Pune has always remained an educational center since beginning. The students mostly from rural areas of Maharashtra had first preference for Pune for their college education in the beginning.
In view of these feet, SHRI BHARAT JAIN VIDYALAYA was established in 1921 at Pune with an instance of 55 Jain students for the benefit ghostwriter-agent.de/masterarbeiten of Jain community. Legacy and Expansion
Vidyalaya mission is to propagate the Jains way of life while enable contemporary academic pursuits for the Jain community and desire schedule for promoting education.
In order to fulfill this mission late “Shri Gagalbhai Hathibhai” of Pune has donated a total land of nearly 9 (nine) acres to Vidyalaya without any condition, in the heart of city. This pond is now “Gold mine” for Vidyalaya.
Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya at Mumbai was already established in 1914 with the blessings of Acharya Shri Vijay Vallabh Suri Swarji Maharaj saheb.
The trustees of Bharat Jain Vidyalaya had decided to hand over the reins of this Vidyalaya to Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya at Mumbai for smooth functioning, accordingly they requested trustees at Mumbai and their request was accepted. Thus Shri Bharat Jain Vidyalaya was connected to Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya once it was also tough to keep the Head Quarters of Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya at Pune but looking to the convenience of all, it was agreed to keep Head quarters at Mumbai only.

GROWTH MILESTONES
Expansion and Achievements
Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya at Pune had constructed new building in 1968 to accommodate more students.
Finally Pune branch had gone in expansion mode since 1992 and then it has not looked back. The increase in the students’ strength is unique. It has become most favourite destination of all Jain students.
The total strength of students as on now is nearly 250.
As Pune being educational centre the Girls hostel at Pune was also in great demand. With all our efforts the girls’ hostel with all amenities was established in 2006 and now total strength is 236. The hostel is free from lodging and boarding charges.

Salient Features of Pune Branch:
There is great demand from boys and girls for accommodation in this Vidyalaya. There is a huge waiting list increasing every year. This is the branch which is the biggest in all 12 branches of the Vidyalaya.
The Vidyalaya is surrounded with natural greenery and it gives feeling that we are in some hill station.
As there is huge land available there is a vast scope for establishing of a higher educational institute and college in same premises.
In short, Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya Pune has a great future in years to come!!!!!!!
